bled on the Wolfpack 25 after a
promising drive.
Followed by consecutive runs by
Mike Dace, and a 15 yard penalty on
the Wolfpack, Tommy Young moved
it closer setting himself up for a 1
yard plunge later. With Paul John-
son out with injury Jay Milton
booted the extra point making it 7-0.
Determined not to be beaten the
Wolfpack's Gerald Williams scored
with a run around the end, and the
kick was good. At the end of the 1st
quarter it was 7-7.
Opening the second quarter Quar-
terback Kelly Lowery broke tackle
after tackle as if he was unstopable
for a 64 yard run to the Wolfpack 3
yardline. Then Tommy Young added
more topping to the cake as he bull-
ied his way over, and Jay Milton
again connecting for the extra point
14-7.
The mighty Tigers were fired up and
a few rushes later with the ball on

nected with his Senior receiver
Terry Staten on a bomb as Staten
scooted under it for another score.
Tommy Young made it over for the
2 point conversion.
With the score still 22-7 in the 4th
quarter Tommy Young connected
with Terry Staten on a 65-yard TO
bomb as Staten worked his way
through heavy traffic, but the Tiger
pride was crushed when it was
called back on a Dean Williams clip.
But Tommy Young put the ball on
the Wolfson 35 when a late hit pen-
alty put it on the 14. From there
Kelly Lowery drove up the middle to
make it 28-7. On an apparent bro-
ken play the Wolfson quarterback
pitched back to his running back as
he slid through with a score, making
it 28-14.
The Wolfson got another break as
Kelly Lowery fumbled the ball and a
defensive player ran 59-yards for
the TO, and the extra point. The Ti-
ger bench was nervous. With 1:57
left on the clock the Tigers were to Dace on his own for a hard gain
reed to punt. Then as Wolfson went
to the air on a desperation pass Al-
len Blair intercepted clenching the
Tiger victory. The final score Colum-
bia High Tigers 28, Wolfson 22.
