vagrant to escape arrest. Any person so arrested
by virtue of a warrant or without a warrant shall 101/257
be given a speedy trial before the Mayor and upon
conviction shall be fined not exceeding Two
Hundred and Fifty Dollars or by imprisonment
not more than sixty days.
ORDINANCE No. 7.
Mufflers on Motor Cars.
Section 1. That the using or running of motor
cars, motor cycles or any motor vehicle, im-
provided with mufflers so used as to prevent the
noise arising from exhaust, in any of the streets
of the City is hereby forbidden.
Sec. 2. That any person violating the pro
visions of this ordinance shall be punished by fine
of not less than Five Dollars or not more than
Ten Dollars for each offense.
ORDINANCE No. 8.
Motor Vehicles.
Section 1. It shall be unlawful for any person
or persons to run or cause to be run any Automo
biles, Locomobiles, Motorcycle or other con
veyance or vehicle propelled by any power other
than muscular power, excepting such motor
vehicles as run upon rails or tracks, that may be
used for locomotion in or over or upon any of the
streets, avenues or other of the highways of the
City of Lake City, Florida, unless such Autmo-
bile or other conveyance as described above shall
be licensed, equipped and run, managed and con
trolled as hereinafter provided.
