as aforesaid, at any time at a rate of speed greater
than is proper or reasonable, even if less than eight
miles per hour, having due regard to the use and 104/257
traffic of highways; or so as to endanger the life
or limb of any peson; or the safety of any pro
perty in the City of Lake City; or in a reckless
manner, showing a disregard of the rights of others
using or having the right to use said public high
ways of the City of Lake City as aforesaid.
Sec. 7. That it shall be unlawful for any
person or persons operating any such vehicle or
conveyance as above described to run any such
vehicle or conveyance in turning any street corner
or sharp curve; or over any bridge or fill within
the limits of the City of Lake City at a rate of
speed greater than eight miles per hour;it
shall be unlawful for any such person or persons
so running or operating such vehicle or conveyance
as above described to turn any street corner or
sharp curve, or cross any bridge or fill or pass over
any intersection of, or crossing of any other street
within the limits of the City of Lake City without
first giving full and due notice by use of said horn,
gong or bell; or to fail at any time to have said
vehicle or conveyance under perfect control.
Sec. 8. Any person operating such vehicle
or conveyance as aforesaid upon the streets,
avenues or highways of the City of Lake City,
shall, at the request, or on signal by putting up
the hand by the person riding, leading or driving
a restive horse or other draft animal, bring such
motor car or other conveyance as above described
immediately to a stop; and if traveling in an op
posite direction to such a person riding, leading
or driving such restive horse or horses or other
