thereof to remove and discontinue the same,
shall be punished by fine not exceeding One Hun 107/257
dred Dollars or imprisonment not exceeding sixty
days.
ORDINANCE No. 10.
Dog License.
Section 1. That every person owning, possess
ing or harboring any dog within the limits of the
City of Lake City, Florida, and allowing the same
to run at large and annually thereafter or at such
other time or times as such person shall come in to
the possession of any unlicensed dog, shall pay to the
City Treasurer of said City a license fee of $2.00
for each dog so owned, possessed or harbored by
him and shall cause such dog to be registered in the
office of the City Treasurer, in a book kept for
that purpose and shall also at the time of such
registry obtain from the City Treasurer the metal
tag hereinafter described.
Sec. 2. The City Council shall provide at the
time of the going into effect of this ordinance and
at the commencement of the license year thereafter
such number of metal tags as may be necessary
and of such shape and size as is usual in such cases,
which shape of such tag shall be changed each
year and he shall have stamped thereon numbers
indicating the year for which the license tax is
paid and the letters “C. D. T.” and deliver one of
such tags to the person paying the license tax for
each dog so owned, kept or possessed by him.
Sec. 3. Every dog so licensed shall at all times
have a collar around its neck with the metal tag
above described securely attached or fastened
