              herein before stated any such animal or animals                     123/257
              shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and subject to
              arrest therefor as in other cases and to be tried
              before the Mayor without delay and upon con­
              viction thereof shall be punished by a fine for each
              and every such offence to not less than Twenty-
              five Dollars and not more than Five Hundred
              Dollars or by imprisonment for a term not ex­
              ceeding sixty days at the discretion of the Mayor
              or both such fine and imprisonment.



                               ORDINANCE No. 16.

                                        Warrants
                  Section 1. All indebtedness of the City of
              Lake City shall be paid by warrants drawn upon
              the Treasurer.

                  Sec. 2. No warrant shall be drawn upon the
              Treasurer unless the same has been ordered by the
              Council.

                  Sec. 3. All warrants must be signed by the
              President of the City Council and countersigned
             by the Clerk of said Council and the seal of the
              corporation attached. Such warrants to be issued
             only when Council is in session.

                  Sec. 4. The Clerk of Council shall keep a
             correct record or stub of each warrant issued by him.

                  Sec. 5. The Clerk shall keep a register wherein
             each warrant issued shall be recorded in regular
             order, numbered, and each warrant when paid
              shall, at the next meeting of the Council, be re­
              corded opposite the number of issuing, and the
              warrant mutilated or destroyed.
