                            Charter of the City of Lake City
                 Sec. 2. That the Town Council shall from
            year to year provide by taxation for a sufficient                     149/257
            sum to pay the semi-annual interest which may
            become due on said bonds, and also create a sink­
             ing fund to liquidate said bonds at maturity.
                 Approved September 18, 1899.

            An Ordinance to Carry into Effect the Provisions
                 of Ordinance No. 106, Passed September 18th,
                 1899, and Approved on Said Date, and to pro­
                 vide for the Form of the Issue of Bonds of Said
                 Town, and to Provide for the Sale of Said
                 Bonds.
                 Whereas, at an election held in the Town of
             Lake City, under and by the virtue of the general
            laws of the State of Florida, and the ordinances of
            said town, on September 14, 1899, to determine
            the question whether the said town should issue
            $7,500 face value municipal bonds for the purpose
            of street improvement; and at said election held
            in the manner and under the safeguards prescribed
            by said laws of Florida and the ordinances of said
             town, at which election only the registered voters
            of said town then residing therein who own real es­
            tate therein and have paid their taxes for the last year
            due thereon, were qualified and permitted to vote;
            and two-thirds of the registered voters of said
            town having the said qualifications and actually
            voting in said election voted in favor of said issue
            of $7,500 of said bonds for said municipal purposes;
            and the result of said election was duly canvassed
            and returned as provided by the laws of the State
            of Florida and the ordinances of said town; and
            whereas the amount of said approved issue of
            bonds and all other indebtedness of said town do
