not aggregate 5 per cent, of the assessed value of
the real and personal property within the corporate 150/257
limits of said town. Wherefore,
Be it ordained by the Wayor and City Council of the
City of Lake City, Florida:
Section 1. That the Mayor and the City Clerk
of said town shall have prepared fifteen 5 per cent,
coupon bonds of the Town of Lake City, to be
known as the “Street Improvement Bonds’’ of
the Town of Lake City, to the amount of $7,500
of the denomination of $500 each, dated October
1st, A. D. 1899, payable January 1st, A. I). 1920,
bearing interest at the rate of five per cent, per
annum, payable semi-annually, at any bank in the
said Town of Lake City, or at Treasurer’s office,
with forty interest coupons attached thereto for
$12.50 each, such coupons to be payable January
1st and July 1st of each year, the first coupon being
dated July 1st, 1900, and the last January 1st,
1920. Both principal and interest to be payable
in lawful money of the United States of America.
Sec. 2. That said bonds shall be made pay
able to bearer and have the seal of said town at
tached, and be signed by the Mayor and the City
Clerk, and the said bonds, when prepared and so
signed and sealed shall be delivered to the City
Treasurer of said town, and said Treasurer shall
sign each and every one of the coupons attached to
said bonds.
Sec. 3. The form of said bonds shall be as
follows:
