ORDINANCE No. 56.
An ordinance levying the property tax of the 220/257
City of Lake City, Florida, for the year 1911.
Sec. 1. That the City of Lake City hereby
levies a tax of twenty (20) mills upon each dollar
of valuation of property within its corporate
limits subject to taxation on the 1st day of Jan
uary, 1911, such tax to be assessed and collected in
the manner now provided by law.
Sec. 2. That thirteen (13) mills of such tax
shall be used for,the payment of bond and interest
tax. Five (5) mills for City tax proper and two
(2) mills for water and lights.
Sec. 3. That the provisions of this ordinance
shall take effect immediately upon its passage and
approval by the Mayor.

SNOWDEN SURVEY AND MAP OF ORIGI
NAL TOWN OF ALLIGATOR.
Sec. 1. That the survey of the portion of the
Town of Lake City, in Columbia County, Florida,
made by E. L. Snowden, Deputy County Sur
veyor and United States Deputy Surveyor, in the
month of June, 1886, of that portion of said town
as was originally the town of Alligator, be and the
same hereby is confirmed in every particular.
Sec. 2. That the map and tracing of said sur
vey, and the measurements thereon noted, and
designated, shall be taken and from henceforth
held to be the true survey.
