221
Sec. 3. That the corporation of the Town of
Lake City hereby declares each and every street 221/257
upon said map and tracing a public street open to
and subject to the public use as contemplated by
the laws of Florida, and that the same are subject
to the control and supervision of the corporation
for public use.
Sec. 4. That all owners of private property
adjoining each or any of said public streets are
hereby required to conform to said survey and to
remove from said street or streets all obstructions
and encroachments under the penalties now or
hereafter to be prescribed for obstructing the
public streets of this town. .
Sec. 5. That any person who permits the ob
struction of any of the streets embraced and de
scribed in the map and tracing in this ordinance
referred to and adopted, by encroachment upon
said street or streets by any fence or building, and
who fails or refuses to remove such fence or build
ing to conform to such survey and map according
to the time and notice which may hereafter be
given by this Council, through the chairman of the
Street Committee or through the Town Marshal,
shall be liable to such penalties as may be pre
scribed by ordinance for obstructing the streets of
the town.
And the town authorities are hereby author
ized to tear down and remove such obstruction
after such penalties are imposed.
