ORDINANCE No. 49.
Paving
AN ORDINANCE to order, regulate and provide
for the grading and paving of Washington
street between the east side of Marion street
at the intersection of Marion and Washington
streets to the east corporation line, to require the
owners of real estate to construct a uniform and
substantial pavement in front of their property,
and in default thereof to have the work done
by the City, and to provide for the collection
from such owners of two thirds the cost thereof
when the owners fail to have the work done.
Be it ordained by the City Council and Mayor of the
City of Lake City, Florida:
Sec. 1. The owner or owners of every lot,
piece or parcel of land which fronts on or abuts
Washington street where said street is intersected
by Marion street and east of the corporation line
of the City of Lake City, Florida, is (are) hereby
ordered and required to grade and pave said street
in front of their said property within thirty days
after the approval and publication of this ordin
ance, in the manner, to the width, and of the mater
ial mentioned and described in the specification
therefor on file in the office of the board of public
works, along the whole length of the said lots,
piece or parcel of land, as the same fronts on or
abuts upon Washington street between Marion
street and the east corporation line. Said pave
