ORDINANCE No. 51A.
Circular Street. 213 213/257
Sec. 1. That a street around Lake DeSoto in
the City of Lake City, Florida, to be known as
Circle street be opened and established. Said
street to begin at or near the intersection of Madi
son street with Lake DeSoto and run thence at
the water’s edge of said Lake DeSoto at date of
opening street around said lake in circular form
and constructed over and through the several
properties and lands of the several and various
owners adjacent to and abutting on the waters of the
said Lake DeSoto opened and established as afore
said, continuing around the circumference of said
lake to the place of beginning.
Sec. 2. That said Circle street shall be twenty-
five feet wide.
Sec. 3. That said street so opened and estab
lished shall be graded, drained, paved or otherwise
improved as shall be determined by the Mayor,
the City Council and Board of Bond Trustees of
said City.
Sec. 4. That the City Council shall obtain
the right-of-way for said street from the lands
owners adjacent to and abutting on the said lake,
either by donation, condemnation proceedings as
provided by law, or both.
Sec. 5. That the several property and land
owners adjacent to and abutting on said lake and
street as aforesaid, shall be assessed such expenses
and costs pro rata for such opening and establish
ing, draining, grading, paving and such other
improvements of and on said street as said adjacent
